Surprising and fascinating: that’s how Val Ridanna strikes its guests. In winter, it’s a real paradise for lovers of cross-country skiing and for going for walks on the crystal-clear snow. In summer, though, it’s a magnet for mountain bike enthusiasts and lovers of hiking. There are countless opportunities for outings and excursions - both easy and challenging - to reach the high altitudes, where bold refuges have been built among the glaciers. At Masseria, in the bottom of the valley, you find the “World of Mines” - the museum of the old Monteneve mines - which captures the interest of young and old alike. The museum exhibits finds that shed light on how miners spent their life in the tunnels inside the mountain hundreds of years ago as well as in more recent times, and allows visitors to learn about events that had a significant influence on the life in this valley.
