Ascent from P1: At the fire station shortly before the village Maiern in the rear Ridnaun valley, turn right towards the hamlet of Braunhofe and park on the right after the bridge. Walk back to the fire station, where trail no. 29 begins and leads to the alpine pasture Untere Gewingesalm. Here we keep to the right and first climb steeply up the slopes and then continue more flatly to the alpine pasture Obere Gewingesalm. From the alpine pasture, not too steeply, straight up to a knoll and then keep left towards the steep slope / ridge of the Zunderspitze. Follow the ridge up to the summit cross. Possibly set up a ski depot at the start of the ridge and ascend to the summit on foot. The descent is the same as the ascent.

Ascent from P2: From Maiern follow the road to the hamlet of Bergl, park on the right at the third bridge. Go left up the forest road, trail no. 29b, and follow it up a slight incline until the junction 29, then follow the directions from above.
