High-altitude Cross-Country Trail Platschjoch

Cross-country skiing with a view

The High-altitude Cross-Country Trail Platschjoch starts at the valley station of the Rinneralm chairlift, just below the mountain station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, and follows a circular route of about 14.9 km into the Platschjoch area and back. The trail first heads towards the alpine hut Kalcheralm, then crosses the Jaufen Pass road before continuing into the Platschjoch area. It is perfectly suited for both classic style and skating and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

The return route leads back to the starting point, where the trail ends. Use of the cross-country trail is free, but a cable car ticket is required to access it. More information on prices and tickets can be found here.
