Variant 1:
From the Ridnaun Mining Museum, follow trail no. 9 through the impressive Burkhardklamm gorge. At the end of the gorge, stay on trail no. 9 and later change to trail no. 9A. This takes you past the Aglsalm and the Pfurnsee lake up to the summit of the Aglsspitz.
Variant 2 (longer):
Also from the Ridnaun Mining Museum, take trail no. 9 through the Burkhardklamm gorge. After the gorge, follow the path to the Grohmannhütte and the Teplitzerhütte. There you turn off onto trail no. 6, which takes you on a longer but scenically varied ascent to the Aglsspitz.

From Sterzing you drive into the Ridnauntal valley and follow the road to the end of the valley in Maiern.

Free parking is available at the mining museum in Maiern, the starting point of the hike.
