Starting from the “Römerkehre” hairpin bend below the Jaufenpass mountain pass, trail no. 12A runs past Flecknersee lake and continues to the Flecknerhütte mountain hut. From here, follow trail no. 12B, continuing below Fasnachter peak before ascending along trail no. 12 to the Fleckner summit.

The starting point can be reached by bus line 317 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Jaufenpass/Passo Giovo – St. Leonhard/S. Leonardoo). Get off at the “Römerkehre” stop. Please note: this bus generally runs from late June to mid-October. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
Directions
From Sterzing, follow the road to Gasteig and continue towards the Jaufenpass. The starting point of the hike is located at the first hairpin bend (“Römerkehre”) immediately beyond the pass.
