From Jaufental (Mittertal, church of St. Ursula), on an asphalt side road for about 10 – 15 minutes to Kaltenbrunn, then take trail no. 13 past the managed Bärnfiechtalm. From there, follow the many bends of the path across alpine meadows with many flowers and alpine roses for about 2 hours to the rocky highest point of the hike, the Bock. On the other side of the Bock saddle, first a bit steeper in switchbacks, then along the valley floor of the Ontrattberg valley to the managed mountain hut. From there, follow the forest road down to the valley. Moderate circular hike, sure-footedness required.
