GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) Standards are an array of global sustainability criteria for travel and tourism companies. The purpose of these standards is to help the tourism industry to become more sustainable, and to minimise social, economic and environmental impact. Drafted by a number of stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, companies and academics, GSTC standards are globally recognised and act as a guide for travel & tourism companies in assessing and enhancing their sustainability performance.
