This hike begins in Bichl and follows the Ratschings Valley Trail (Ratschinger Talweg) with a gentle ascent towards the head of the valley. The route passes several farmsteads before reaching Flading at the end of the Ratschingstal valley. Along the way, hikers pass the Ibex via ferrata, the barefoot sensory trail with its Kneipp path, and the motor skills park.
Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, continue towards the Ratschingstal valley until reaching the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car in the hamlet of Bichl.
Parking
Parking is available at the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, both above ground and in the underground car park.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by bus line 319 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ratschings/Racines). Get off at the “Innerratschings, Bichl/Racines di Dentro, Via Colle” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
