Starting from the hamlet of Bergl in the Ridnauntal valley, the route initially follows trail no. 30 along a gently ascending paved road until it reaches the last farmsteads in the hamlet. From here, the itinerary continues on a gravel track, passing the Martalm mountainhut and eventually reaching the Staudenbergalmmountain hut.
Note: the route follows gravel tracks and short sections of paved road, entirely avoiding forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, continue through the Ridnauntal valley to Maiern and follow the road as far as Hotel Schneeberg. Continue for approximately 800 metres to the Bergl farms, where parking is available on the right-hand side of the road.

Parking is available near the starting point on the right-hand side of the road.
Public transport
The starting point cannot be reached directly by public transport. It is possible to travel as far as the “Maiern” stop on bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna) and continue on foot to the starting point (approx. 20 min., 50 metres of elevation gain).
