Starting from the fire station in Ried in the Ridnauntal valley, follow trail no. 29 through the forest, passing the Untere Gewingesalm mountain hut before reaching the Obere Gewingesalm mountain hut.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, follow the signs to the Ridnauntalvalley and continue to Ried. The starting point of the hike is located at the fire station.

Please note: the starting point of the hike can only be reached by public transport.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna). Get off at the “Gewinges” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
