From Maiern to the Aglsalm mountain hut on gravel tracks

Starting from the Mining Museum, at the end of the Ridnauntal valley, the route initially crosses a large bridge and then follows trail no. 8B. Where the trail branches off to the left, the itinerary continues straight ahead along the gravel track to the hamlet of Gesennen. From here, follow trail no. 8 to the entrance of the Burkhardklamm gorge. Here, the route turns right and continues along the gravel track to the Aglsalm mountain hut.

Note: the route follows gravel tracks and short sections of paved road, entirely avoiding forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes.

The opening hours of mountain and alpine huts can be found here.
