The hike begins in Gasteig opposite Hotel Anett. Follow trail no. 12 initially towards the head of the valley, then turn right after a short distance onto the JaufentalValley Panorama Trail (Panoramaweg Jaufental). The route ascends gently to a forest road and continues with a moderate incline along trail no. 17B until reaching another forest road. From here, the Jaufental Valley Panorama Trail passes several traditional farmsteads before arriving in Mittertal. The return route follows trail no. 12 to the starting point.
Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, follow the signs to Gasteig and continue to the clubhouse (“Vereinshaus”).
Parking
Parking is available at the clubhouse in Gasteig.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna). Get off at the “Gasteig, Vereinshaus/Casa della Cultura” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
