The hike starts in Obertal, where it first follows trail no. 12A and then turns right towards the Gurgl waterfall. Afterwards, continue along trail no. 12A, which leads to the Bergalm mountain hut in about 10 minutes.
Note: The route follows gravel tracks throughout and does not include any forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes and pushchairs.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, follow the road into the Jaufental valley until you reach Obertal. Turn left shortly after passing the Maurerhof farm and proceed to the starting point of the trail.
Parking
Parking is available at the starting point of the hike.
Public transport
The starting point cannot be reached directly by public transport. It is possible to travel as far as the “Mittertal/Val di Mezzo” stop on bus line 314 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Jaufental/Val Giovo) and continue on foot to the starting point (approx. 30 min., 150 metres of elevation gain).
