Take the Rosskopf cable car up to the mountain station, situated at approximately 1,800 metres above sea level. From there, first follow the well-maintained trail no. 24 and then trail no. 23, which crosses alpine meadows and pastures on mostly level or gently descending ground. At the junction, turn left onto trail no. 5A and follow it for a few metres to the Kuhalm mountain hut.
Note: The route follows gravel tracks throughout and does not include any forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes and pushchairs.

The Rosskopf cablecar is located north of Sterzing, on the road towards the Brennerpass.

Public transport
The “Sterzing, Busbahnhof/Vipiteno, Autostazione” bus stop is located around five minutes on foot from the Rosskopf cable car valley station.
