The hike begins at the small car park beside the barrier gate at the entrance to the Valtigltal valley. From here, the route initially follows trail no. 26 through the valley, before branching off to the left onto trail no. 24B, leading to the Joggelealm mountain hut.
Note: the route follows gravel tracks throughout and does not include any forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, continue to the Gasse ski lift in the Ridnauntal valley. Turn right across the bridge and follow the road to the small car park located by the barrier gate at the entrance to the Valtigltal valley.

Public transport
The starting point cannot be reached directly by public transport. It is possible to travel as far as the “Joggilerhof” stop on bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna) and continue on foot to the starting point (approx. 1 hour, 140 metres of elevation gain).
