Take the Rosskopf cable car up to the mountainstation, situated at approximately 1,800 metres above sea level. From there, first follow the well-maintained trail no. 24 and then trail no. 23, which crosses alpine meadows and pastures on mostly level or gently descending ground. The route continues along the Ridnaun High Alpine Trail (Ridnauner Höhenweg), which runs above the Kuhalm mountain hut and then leads to the Ochsenalm mountain hut.
Note: the route follows gravel tracks throughout and does not include any forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes and pushchairs.
The opening hours of mountain and alpine huts can be found here.
