The starting point of this hike is the Parish Church of St. Ursula in the locality of Mittertal in the Jaufental valley. The route begins along trail no. 13 on a paved road and continues to just before Kaltenbrunn. Here, the trail turns right onto a gravel track. Shortly afterwards, trail no. 13 branches off to the left and continues to the junction with trail no. 14, which ascends to the Bärnfiechtalm mountain hut.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, follow the road into the Jaufental valley as far as Mittertal. The starting point is the Parish Church of St. Ursula.
Parking
Parking is available at the recycling centre in Mittertal, opposite the parish church.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by bus line 314 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Jaufental/Val Giovo). Get off at the “Mittertal/Val di Mezzo” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
