Starting from the Mining Museum in Maiern, at the head of the Ridnauntalvalley, the route initially follows trail no. 28 to the Stadlalmmountainhut. Cross the bridge on the left and continue on trail no. 28A, which leads to the Moarerbergalm mountain hut.
A shuttleservice to the hut is available upon request (information and booking: +39 0472 756 729).
Note: the route follows gravel tracks and short sections of paved road, entirely avoiding forest trails. It is therefore well suited to mountain bikes.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, continue towards the Ridnauntal valley as far as Maiern, at the very end of the valley. The Mining Museum, which marks the starting point of the hike, is located here.

Parking is available at the Mining Museum in Maiern, at the end of the Ridnauntal valley, which marks the starting point of the hike.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by
bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna). Get off at the
final stop, “Bergbaumuseum/Museo delle Miniere”, located directly at the starting point of the hike. Further information on timetables and connections is available at
