From Maiern to the Moarerbergalm mountain hut

Starting from the Mining Museum in Maiern, at the head of the Ridnauntal valley, the route initially follows trail no. 28 to the Stadlalm mountain hut. From there, the trail continues to the Poschhaus mining tunnel and then follows trail no. 28 to the Moarerbergalm mountain hut.

A shuttle service to the hut is available upon request (information and booking: +39 0472 756 729).

Description to arrive at destination

From Sterzing, continue towards the Ridnauntal valley as far as Maiern, at the very end of the valley. The Mining Museum, which marks the starting point of the hike, is located here.

Parking is available at the Mining Museum in Maiern, at the end of the Ridnauntal valley, which marks the starting point of the hike.

Public transport

The starting point can be reached by bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna). Get off at the final stop, “Bergbaumuseum/Museo delle Miniere”, located directly at the starting point of the hike.
