Across the Valtigltal valley to the 360° viewing platform at Fuchssee lake

The hike begins at the small car park beside the barrier gate at the entrance to the Valtigltal valley. From here, the route initially follows trail no. 26 through the valley, continuing slightly beyond the Valtiglalm mountain hut. The trail then branches off to the left onto route no. 23, which leads to Fuchssee lake, where the viewing platform is located.

Description to arrive at destination

From Sterzing, continue to the Gasse ski lift in the Ridnauntal valley. Turn right across the bridge and follow the road to the small car park located by the barrier gate at the entrance to the Valtigltal valley.

Parking is available beside the barrier gate at the entrance to the Valtigltal valley.

Public transport

The starting point cannot be reached directly by public transport. It is possible to travel as far as the “Joggilerhof” stop on bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna) and continue on foot to the starting point (approx. 1 hour, 140 metres of elevation gain).
