The hike starts at the “Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra” bus stop, located just a few minutes’ walk from the fire station. Follow trail no. 5 along a paved road before continuing on a gravel track that ascends gradually to the Freundalm mountain hut. From there, take trail no. 6 to the Ochsenalm mountain hut.

Description to arrive at destination
From Sterzing, follow the road to Telfes. Once you reach Obertelfes, the starting point of the hike is located at the fire station on the left-hand side of the road.
Parking
Parking is available near the fire station in Obertelfes.
Public transport
The starting point can be reached by bus line 315 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Thuins/Tunes – Telfes/Telves). Get off at the“Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
