The Birgl circular trail begins in Mittertal at St. Ursula’s Parish Church and initially follows trail no. 13 until shortly before the hamlet of Kaltenbrunn, where the route turns right onto trail no. 13B. Right at the start of the trail, the recreation area offers several places to relax, including comfortable wooden benches, tables and loungers, a large swing with views over the Jaufental valley, and various play stations for children, such as a balance course, a climbing dome and a suspended nest among the trees. The Birgl circular trail eventually returns to the starting point in Mittertal.
