The hike begins at the fire station in Obertelfes and follows trail no. 5 to the Freundalm mountain hut, then trail no. 5A to the Kuhalm mountain hut. Continue along trail no. 23 to the viewing platform, from where the surrounding peaks can be admired. The summits are labelled by name on the platform, helping visitors identify and orient themselves within the Alpine landscape.

From Sterzing, follow the road to Telfes. Once you reach Obertelfes, the starting point of the hike is located at the fire station on the left-hand side of the road.
Parking is available near the fire station in Obertelfes.
The starting point can be reached by bus line 315 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Thuins/Tunes – Telfes/Telves). Get off at the “Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra” stop. Further information on timetables and connections is available at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en.
