Starting from the Mining Museum in Maiern, at the end of the Ridnauntal valley, cross the large bridge and continue on trail no. 8B. At the junction, take trail no. 8 on the right, which later joins trail no. 27 towards the Prischeralm mountain hut. The hike follows the upper section of the Ridnaun High-Alpine Trail (Ridnauner Höhenweg), passing Seebersee lake and the Seeberalm mountain hut. Subsequently turn left onto trail no. 7, which leads to the summit of Seeberspitze.

The starting point can be reached by bus line 312 (Sterzing/Vipiteno – Ridnaun/Val Ridanna). Get off at the final stop,“Bergbaumuseum/Museo delle Miniere”, located directly at the starting point of the hike.
